Tadley Scouts takes the issue of privacy very seriously and is committed to protecting and respecting our users' privacy online. This Privacy Statement sets out our current data processing practices and should be read in conjunction with our terms and conditions. 1. The information we collect
The only circumstances in which we will provide any of your personal data to a third party for non commercial purposes are those contained in this Privacy Policy

We do not share any of your data collected outside of Tadley Scouts.

All personal information and details held on and processed by computers situated in the United Kingdom.
4. Further information
tadleyscouts.org.uk will as part of it's normal operation send out to information emails. Members can unsubscribe from these emails at any time.
5. Disclosure of data by order of a Court and Security

We reserve the right to communicate a Member's personal information as we hold to third parties who are empowered by regulation, statute or order of a court.

We have security measures in place to protect our customer database. Access to this database is restricted internally. However, it remains each Member's responsibility:

  • to keep their password secret
  • to protect against unauthorised access to your personal details
  • to log off from any services when not using it; and
  • to ensure against use by anyone else of our services through the machine that Member uses while they are "logged on" to the service
  • to search and obtain only the data specifically required and allowed for relating to their role.
6. Use of cookies by Tadley Scouts
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site. We only use cookies that are absolutely necessary for the operations of our website through Microsoft Azure and Cloudflare (our service providers). We also use Hotjar to optimise our website, read about this in section 7 of this policy.

7. Hotjar Analytics and Feedback
We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimise this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behaviour and their devices. This includes a device's IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymised user profile. Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf.
